A man has been found dead in a public toilet in the capital, Male’ City.

Talking to One Online, media official of the Maldives Police Service said that a man was reported dead this morning around 10:30 a.m. and confirmed that the deceased was a 54-year-old local man.

Police said that the body has been moved to ADK Hospital and the hospital confirmed the death.

There were no visible external injuries were visible on the body according to the police and an investigation is underway to find the cause of the death.
