President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the ATM service of Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) in L. Fonadhoo.

The President launched this service during a special ceremony held today in Fonadhoo.

After inaugurating the MIB ATM service, the President presented a commemorative bank card to the island council.

The government's goal is to establish ATM services on all islands of the Maldives before the end of this year. To achieve this goal, the government has initiated special efforts in collaboration with the Bank of Maldives (BML) and MIB.

As part of expanding MIB's services across the Maldives, the bank has stated that they are working on installing ATMs in 19 additional islands this year. They have also mentioned that 23 ATMs, including dollar ATMs, will be installed in these 19 islands.

This initiative represents a significant step in improving banking accessibility throughout the Maldives, particularly in more remote islands.
