Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has said that according to the Maldives Police Service, the forensic data recovered from Suspect 1’s phone show that the Supreme Court Judge, Abdulla Didi had a conversation with an unknown person to release a suspect in the case of the missing journalist, Ahmed Rilwan.

Presenting the written evidence from the police to the accused at the JSC hearing at Dharubaaruge today, JSC Member, Hisaan Hussain said that the document from the police states that a criminal was talking to Judge Didi regarding the release of the suspects in the disappearance of the Journalist, Rilwan, Mohamed Suwaid (S. Hulhudhoo) and Abdulla Haisham (S. Meedhoo) and Judge Didi released Suwaid after the man gave information on the two suspects.

The written evidence from the police also made numerous allegations of corruption against the Supreme Court Judge including those related to the MMPRC Corruption Scandal.
