Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer has revealed that the investors who were part of the Maldives Partnership Forum 2019 were keen on all 70 projects that were submitted during the forum.
Speaking to the press following the conclusion of the forum, the Minister noted that with the renewed friendships, discussions were held regarding the development of water and sewerage systems, roads and ports in all inhabited islands.
He assured that all pledges in the presidential manifesto can be fulfilled through the aid of the forum. He also noted that the participants were rather keen to support the projects that were highlighted during the forum.
Minister Ameer also added that they noted of debt issues and financial issues of the country. He revealed that a framework is being developed to solve issues that were faced by foreign investor while investing in the country.
Changes to Decentrilization Act and an arbitrary center will be established in a bid to make Maldives more investor friendly.
