Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has summoned Supreme Court Justice Abdulla Didi to the commission at 11:30pm tonight.
JSC had initially summoned the Justice for 10:00pm, however was later delayed.
'One Online' has learnt that the meeting was delayed after Justice Abdulla Didi said that he needs more time to present himself to the commission.
JSC had suspended Justice Abdulla Didi over a disciplinary issue which alleged the Justice of accepting bribes, on June 12. However, within 24 hours the Supreme Court had ruled to nullify the suspension and ordered all state institutions to refrain from taking any actions against the Justice. JSC had decided to not comply with the Supreme Court ruling, and asserted that their suspension still stands.
Supreme Court had released a new ruling on Monday, which once again stressed that any actions taken against Justice Abdulla Didi, against the Supreme Court ruling would be deemed void.
