ADB has decided to grant MVR 156 million in aid to the Maldives.

An MOU set to be signed during the Maldives Partnership Forum 2019 details that USD 11 million will be received in aid by the Maldives for the establishment of .a high tech border control system.

The project slated for completion by 2023 will make goods clearance faster and bring about a positive change to retail prices. While a total of USD 11.99 million is expected for the project, state funds will finance USD 1.99 million.
