A case regarding the three Supreme Court justices who signed to nullify the February 1st ruling of the Supreme Court has been submitted to the Judicial Services Commission (JSC).

According to information obtained by 'One Online', the disciplinary cases are against Chief Justice Ahmed Abdulla Didi and Justice Adam Mohamed Abdulla in addition to Justice Abdulla Areef. The three justices were the ones who signed to nullify the Supreme Court ruling of February 1st.

The case has been submitted to the JSC by a public individual.

The February 1st of ruling effectively released all political prisoners at the time. However, a State of Emergency was shortly declared during which then Chief Justice Abdulla Saeed and Justice Ali Hameedh were arrested for alleged corruption.

Following their apprehension, the remaining three judges who had initially signed on passing the February 1st ruling had signed to nullify part of the original ruling.

The disciplinary issue was raised regarding the fact that the judges who initially signed off on the ruling were also the ones to nullify that.
