Health Minister Abdulla Ameen has stated that a database for blood donors will be established by the end of the current year.
Speaking during the activities regarding World Blood Donor Day held by Alia Investments and Maldives Blood Service, Minister Ameen noted that donating blood to save a human life is a great action of humanitarianism. He added that discussions regarding the development of a blood donor database has been ongoing for a while, and that a lot of works were needed to be completed in order to make it a reality.
He assured that the database will be established by the end of the year.
The event held by Alia and Maldives Blood Service will continue till 6:00pm today at the National Art Gallery.
