Classes for the second term have begun today following the first term school holiday.
The second term classes have started today after a 16-day holiday.
Students went on holiday after completing the first term on the 24th of last month.
According to the academic calendar, this year's second term classes will continue until December 25th. And students will have their long year-end holiday from December 28th to January 22nd of next year.
According to information published by the Ministry of Education, more than 84,000 students are studying this year in schools across the Maldives, from preschool to grade 12. Additionally, 6,516 Maldivian teachers and 1,843 foreign teachers are working in schools.
