President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said that certain works are affected due to the competitive spirit among different Ministries.

During a meeting on Thursday with environmental Ministers, the President noted that we were working towards progressing the nation to the next generation and added that those goals could only be achieved by completing the current tasks.

He stressed that certain works are put on halt due to the competitive spirit amongst the Ministries. He further added that one of the most important policies of the government involved the environment policy and revealed that it was the reason behind forming a separate Ministry titled Environment Ministry.

Former Environment Ministers were also part of the meeting.
