A new promotion brand, From Maldives, has been launched to represent Maldivian fishing products in international markets. The launch took place at the UK–Maldives Business Forum in London in efforts to boost the fisheries sector.

According to the Ministry of Fisheries, the initiative aims to increase profitability for Maldivians by enhancing value addition, improving storage and processing capacity, and expanding cold-chain systems within the country.

The brand features a logo symbolising the Maldives’ fishing boats, marine products, and natural heritage, reflecting an eco-friendly, technologically advanced, and globally competitive fishing industry. It also highlights the cultural connection between Maldivians and the ocean, as well as the country’s commitment to sustainable practices and compliance with global market standards.

Developed by the Maldives Fisheries and Ocean Resources Marketing and Promotion Corporation—established under President Dr Mohamed Muizzu—the brand was launched to promoted Maldives' fisheries industry on the global stage.
