The police have begun investigating a case where gambling sites are being advertised using a video created with the Public Service Media (PSM) logo.

The police said last night that they have become aware of an issue where AI-generated video and audio using PSM's logo and brand are being circulated to advertise gambling sites.

They also stated that the case is under further investigation. No additional details were disclosed.

The video is being circulated by a Facebook page called "Kirabet". The video was created using AI, featuring the TVM (Television Maldives) logo and simulating a news presenter from the station.
