The fourth conference of the SAARC Council of Experts of Energy Regulators has been held at Hotel Jen today.

The conference is held to implement the SAARC Framework Agreement for Energy Corporation and finalize the draft roadmap to create an electricity market in the region and strengthen economic ties.

Environment Ministry said that the framework agreement was established at the 17th SAARC Summit in Addu City in 2011.
