MP-elect for Guraidhoo constituency, Ibrahim Riza has been sworn into office on the 19th Sitting of the Parliament.
MP Riza missed the initial oath ceremony as he was on an Umrah Pilgrimage. The MP was sworn in at a special ceremony today at 10 a.m. at the Parliament Building.
As all of the other MPs, he was sworn in by the Chief Justice, Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi. The ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the Parliament, former President Mohamed Nasheed.
MP Riza is a member of the opposition party, PPM.
