Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has concluded his official visit to the Maldives.
The Prime Minister was seen off this morning at Velana International Airport by the President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
This was the Prime Minister’s first visit abroad following his re-election win after leading his Bharat Janata Party (BJP) to victory in India’s Lok Sabha elections in May.
A total of six agreements were signed between the two countries during this visit along with official talks to strengthen cooperation.
Prime Minister Modi also met with the Vice President, Fisal Naseem and the Speaker of the Parliament, former President Mohamed Nasheed along with respective leaders of Jumhoory Party, Adhaalath Party and the Maldives Reform Movement.
