Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameedh has said that they will probe into the potential negligence of Police, in the case involving 3 kilos of drugs where two suspects had been released.
In a tweet on Thursday, CP Hameedh said that they will do whatever that was necessary to stop the trafficking of drugs. He added that they will not step back or slow down in their fight against drugs.
He further stressed that they will probe the case further to find if there was any negligence, and identify how their work could be improved.
The commissioners statement comes during a time when a 52 year old woman and 25 year old man who was arrested in Hulhumale for the possession of 3 kilos of drugs had been released by the Criminal Court, upon being brought for remand hearings twice.
They were arrested under a court order for a third time last night.
