A large portion of the Maldivian capital, Male’ City, is set to be closed down for the official visit of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Maldives Police Service released a chart of the roads that would be closed show Boduthakurufaanu Magu closed from Fishermen’s Park to Travelers Market.
The zones in the charge will be closed from 7 p.m. tonight to midnight on Sunday. While the Yellow Zones will be closed off to vehicles, while the Orange Zones will be closed off entirely and the Double Lines are areas where parked vehicles have to be removed.
Along with the Green Zone, the Sinamale’ Bridge will be closed down for the arrival of the Indian Prime Minister.
This is the first visit out of India by the Indian Prime Minister after securing office for a second term. He is set to address the Madivian parliament.
Modi will be arriving this Saturday.
