Maldivian Foreign Minister, Abdulla Shahid has said that quick and important has to be taken to be safe from climate change.

The Foreign Minister made the statement yesterday during the “Climate Change, Migration and Displacement” round-table discussion at Berlin Climate and Security Conference.

Minister Shahid also met with the Belgian Foreign Minister, Didier Reynders and discussed the strengthening of the relationship between the two countries in the fields of climate change, democracy and human rights.

Foreign Minister’s visit to Germany is primarily to attend the Climate and Security Conference upon the invitation of the Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Heiko Maas.
