Maldives Police Service tracked down the car that fled after colliding with the highway dividers earlier on Tuesday morning, and towed it.

According to Police, the vehicle was found parked in a garage at 11:00pm and was towed around 1:00pm.

Maldives Police Service said that a report came in this morning around 10:15am about a vehicle going from Male’ to Hulhumale’ had collided with the dividers on the highway.

Police said that a large portion of the divers were destroyed in the collision however the driver involved fled the scene. And so, they began to track down the vehicle and driver.

Four traffic collisions on the highway have destroyed the dividers this year in January, February, March and May. The dividers have been destroyed in traffic collisions every month except April so far.
