HDh. Nolhivaranfaru has announced plans to lease nine plots of land for guesthouse development, inviting both local and foreign investors to apply.

The Nolhivaranfaru Council stated that those interested in operating tourist hotels on the island can submit their interest, with further clarifications available via email or at the council’s Secretariat from 0900 - 1300hrs on working days. Additional details regarding the bidding process will be provided on 6 April 2025 at 1200hrs.

The guesthouse plots are located within the island’s designated tourist zones, with varying sizes, including one large plot of 14,386.33 square feet, two medium-sized plots of 6,895.69 square feet, and smaller plots ranging from 2,065.96 to 2,170.40 square feet. Interested investors can attend an online information session and purchase bid documents from 27 February to 6 April 2025.
