President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih received a warm welcome upon his arrival at Saudi Arabia.

The President is visiting Saudi Arabia to take part in the 14th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Countries) OIC.

The President’s Office today said that President Solih was received by the Saudi Royal Protocol Minister. An image released by the President’s Office show the President in the pilgrimage wear.

The OIC Summit is set to begin tomorrow where Islamic leaders would discuss the issues facing the Islamic nations. The chair would be the King of Saudi Arabia, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Since its inception in 1969, the OIC has aspired to speak as the collective voice of the Islamic Ummah. Currently it comprises of 57 member states representing over a billion people. Summits are held triennially in accordance with the OIC charter to discuss matters of importance to Muslims.
