Parliament is set to hold press briefings twice a week from now on.

The revelation was made during a press conference following today's parliament meeting by Secretary General, Fathimath Liusha. She noted that the decision came from Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Eva Abdulla.

Important and newsworthy works of the Parliament and Parliament Administration will be shared withe the public during these news briefings, according to Liusha. She had also given a brief summary of today's meeting during the briefing as well.

This includes the formation of an 11 member committee to revise the Parliament Regulation, and the approval of Indian PM Narendra Modi to address the Maldivian Parliament.
