Parliament has formed an 11 member committee to revise the Parliament Regulation within 30 days.

The committee suggested by Central Henveiru MP Ali Azim includes; Maduvvari MP Adam Shareef, Thimarafushi MP Abdulla Riyaz, Naifaru MP Ahmed Siyam, Kudahuvadhoo MP Ahmed Amir, Villingilli MP Saud Hussain, West Henveiru MP Hassan Latheef, Meedhoo MP Rozaina Adam, Hulhudhoo MP Ilyas Labeeb, Maradhoo MP Ibrahim Shareef along with Fonadhoo MP Moosa Siraj.

The committee was passed with the votes of 79 members, out of the 82 who were present during today's meeting.

The current Parliament Regulation is one that was formed by the 17th Session of Parliament, on March 2, 2010.

Every session of the Parliament is required to revise the regulation - works of which were also begun during the 18th Session to no end result. Parliament passed to act on the current regulation until the revision was complete.
