The passport of Ahmed Shareef, former Managing Director of STELCO, has been confiscated.

Shareef's passport was confiscated at the request of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

An ACC media official told "One" today that Shareef's passport was confiscated in connection with ongoing investigations related to STELCO. The media official did not provide details of these cases.

It is understood that a case has been submitted to the ACC regarding Shareef signing an agreement that was detrimental to the company while he was in the position of Managing Director of STELCO.
