Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has announced the ‘Maldives Culture and Food Festival’ at Central Park, Hulhumalé. The two-day event will take place on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2024, and continue into New Year’s Day, January 1, 2025.

The festival will showcase Maldivian food, arts, crafts, and cultural performances, offering an exciting experience for locals and tourists. It will feature food stalls, traditional music, and family-friendly activities like a bounce house, climbing wall, and displays by police and fire services.

The celebrations begin at 2000hrs on December 31 with a drone show, Boduberu performances, and fireworks to ring in 2025. Activities will continue on January 1 from 1600hrs - 2200hrs, with more performances and fun events.

“This festival celebrates the achievements of 2024 and highlights Maldivian culture,” MMPRC CEO Ibrahim Shiuree said.
