Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has said HA. Uligan Harbor Development and Shore Protection Project is well underway.

According to MTCC, the second shipment of concrete blocks required for quay wall construction have been delivered to the project site.

Installation of concrete blocks for quay wall construction is currently ongoing.

Uligamu Port Development Project was awarded to MTCC to address port challenges and modernise its infrastructure on 18 July 2023. The project, valued at MVR 73.88 million, commenced on 6 September 2023 and is scheduled for completion within 18 months.
