President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Sunday signed the Condolence Book at the High Commission of India in the Maldives, paying tribute to former Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, who passed away on 26 December 2024.

In his message, President Muizzu described Dr Singh as a great statesman and reflected on his historic visit to the Maldives in November 2011. The visit was a significant milestone that strengthened the bonds of friendship between the two nations.

President Dr Muizzu also extended heartfelt sympathies to Dr Singh's family, the government and the people of India during this time of loss.
