An 18-year-old youth sustained serious injuries following a collision between a motorcycle and a police car in Hulhumalé Phase II late last night.

The accident occurred at approximately 0150hrs resulting in damage to both the motorcycle and the police vehicle. The injured youth was rushed to Hulhumalé Hospital, where he is receiving treatment for critical injuries.
