The People's Majlis has approved the appointment of Dhaha Shuaib, H. Caribbean, to the board of Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) from among the four individuals nominated by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

In today's parliamentary session, Dhaha's appointment was approved unanimously by 69 out of the 70 members present.

The President had sent the names of five individuals to the parliament for appointment to the MIRA board, in the order of his preference.

  • Ahmed Faiz Mohamed, Asrafee Hiya, L. Maavah
  • Abdullah Imran, Maalam, R. Hulhudhuffaaru
  • Mahboob Saleem, Shabnamge, K. Kaashidhoo
  • Aminath Aafiya, Dhaftharu number 13462

However, Ahmed Faiz Mohamed's name was later withdrawn at his request.
