Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has said that he looks forward to working closely with the Maldives to further strengthen the multifaceted partnership.

Replying to the congratulatory tweet by Maldivian President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih upon winning the Indian General Elections, Modi said that India greatly values its relations with Maldives.

The Maldivian President took to Twitter stating that it is a strong affirmation of the Indian people's confidence in the government led by BJP.

President Solih said that he looks forward to closer and enhanced ties in the Maldives-India cooperation.
