A 71 year old has been arrested regarding the sexual abuse of a 9 year old girl.

Maldives Police Service revealed that they had received information regarding the sexual abuse of a child on May 10. They added that upon the initial investigation, the 13 year old and 16 year old brothers of the child were the prime suspects of the case.

Since the case had hit public, several people had leveraged various accusations on the lover of the child’s mother.

The child has since been moved to a safe environment.
