54 traffic collisions last week, 20 people injured

Maldives Police Service has said that 54 traffic collisions took place in the Male’ are in the past week. Statistics from 11 to 17 May released today shows that 20 people were injured in 54 traffic collisions.

The statistics show that 13 cases of speeding and two cases of underage driving. Police said that they also towed 12 four-wheel vehicles and 16 motorcycles.

Police also issued fines for 814 vehicles in the past seven days; an average of 116 per day.
