Singapore has said that the country's water supply has not been affected by the oil spill at Pasir Panjang Terminal.
The authorities said the freshwater reservoirs have not been impacted as the oil spill has been limited to the coastal areas and some coastal drains.
Additionally, Singaporean authorities said cleaning and containment efforts have been underway since the incident occurred on Friday.
Oil has been washing up on several beaches in Singapore, including the beaches in Sentosa island and East Coast Park.
The authorities said water quality readings remain normal and the Marina East Desalination Plant located along the coast has a dual-mode capability with the flexibility to treat either seawater or reservoir water.
