STELCO has planted 1,000 trees in K. Dhiffushi.

Following the ceremony to kick-off the power plant project in the island, STELCO carried out a tree planing program launched by the company's Managing Director Hussain Fahmy.

As part of the program, 1,000 trees were planted in the island. STELCO said this program was the Company's participation in the program launched by President Dr. Muizzu on World Environment Day this year. The initiative aims to plant five million trees across Maldives over the next five years.

STELCO has initiated tree planting programs in 30 islands under the company's jurisdiction in Greater Male' region.

The program aims to plant 500,000 trees over the next five years.
