Maafushi MP Hussain Riza Adam has been elected as President of Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

JSC made the announcement in a post on X on Wednesday.

Riza was sworn in as a JSC member last week. He previously served as the administration of Criminal Court.

JSC as an institution presides over disciplinary issues related to judges as well as promotions to posts.

JSC members include:
