Telecom giant, Dhiraagu and Housing Development Corporation (HDC) have signed an agreement to celebrate this year's Eid Al-Adha in Hulhumalé.

The 2024 Eid celebrations will be held in Hulhumalé under the name of "Hulhumalé Eid Ufaa 2024". Sheesha Maldives will also be take part in organizing the event.

The Eid activities will be held in Hulhumalé from the 15th to the 17th of this month. Eid activities will include traditional Eid gifts, fireworks, bodumas, Maali parade and Koadi cutting. A children's evening will also be held in Central Park on June 16 and 17.

Dhiraagu Director Brand and Marketing Communications, Mohammed Mirshan Hassan said that Dhiraagu is delighted to partner with HDC to bring Eid activities to the people of Hulhumalé.

"Eid Al-Adha is always a holiday that we Maldivians celebrate in unity and a very colorful manner. Therefore, we are very pleased to bring various cultural activities to the public this Eid," he said.

HDC Chief Business Officer, Ahmed Yamin, said he was grateful for the support of Dhiraagu for such community events. Eid Al-Adha activities are a very important part of the culture, he said.

“We would like to thank Digicel for joining us in bringing such exciting events to the people of Uppsala,” he said.

As in previous years, the Eid Bondibaiy donation will be held on Sunday, June 16 at the Hulhumalé Synthetic Track after Eid prayers.

In addition, the Dhiraagu Eid Show and the company's "Win a Tesla" promotion lucky draw will be held on Monday, June 17 from 8:00 pm at Central Park in Hulhumalé. HDC is the hosting partner for both events.
