Vice-Chairperson of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Bater, has arrived in Maldives.

The CPPCC Vice-Chairperson, who is visiting the Maldives on an official three-day visit, was welcomed at Velana International Airport (VIA) by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Ahmed Nazim.

Bater is scheduled to meet Speaker of Parliament Abdul Raheem Abdulla and Deputy Speaker Nazim on Wednesday morning.

He is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on Thursday, the Parliament said. Bater will also meet government officials before concluding his visit on Thursday.
