The government has submitted 37 Bills to the parliament to be worked on during the current term.

Starting the Parliament sitting today, Speaker of Parliament Abdul Raheem Abdulla announced that the government has submitted a list of 37 Bills ot the Parliament. He further highlighted that the Bills will be shared with the members today.

The first reading of two bills submitted by the government to the Parliament was also heard in today's session.

These include the Health Services Amendment Bill moved by Henveiru South MP Hussain Imran Latheef and the Sovereign Development Fund Bill moved by Fuvahmulah Central MP Ali Fazad.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu had previously stated that the 20th Parliament, which has a large majority of the government, needs to pass 200 laws to provide the services needed by the people.
