Olympic Committee President Mohammed Abdul Sattar (Champi) has been elected as the President of the Swimming Association of Maldives for a fourth term.
Sattar was elected with 96.97 percent of the vote in the Swimming Association Election held yesterday. Apart from the presidency, 64 out of 66 members voted in favor of Sattar as there was only one candidate for each post.
Ismail Ali, who is still holding the post, was elected as the Vice President of the Swimming Association. He also took part in the vote, receiving 63 votes out of 66 members. Ali Shamim was elected as the treasurer of the Swimming Association for the next term. He also received 63 votes out of 66 members.
Raheema Adam was elected as the female member representing individual members, Mohammed Nawar Ibrahim as the male member representing individual members and Hassan Sirar as the member representing technical officials.
Ahmed Firas Afeef was elected as the coaches' representative while Aleef Abdullah Naseem was elected as the club representative. The newly elected executive committee will begin its four-year term on 25th next month.
