The Civil Service Commission (CSC) is looking for Secretary Generals for 32 island council across 16 atolls in the country.

An announcement by the CSC noted that the five-year post will be remunerated at MVR 16,100 for a ZV7-3 and MVR 15,285 for a ZV7-4.

In addition to the salary, they will receive a special duty allowance of 35 percent of their salary, medical treatment, and pension contribution under the Pension Act of the Maldives.

However, they noted that the post of Secretary General is the highest administrative post of the Council Office and the persons holding the post of Secretary General shall not be entitled to overtime pay under Article 34(h)(5) of the Employment Act.

The deadline for applications is 2:00 pm on Thursday.
