PNC PG has said the Party does not plan to increase the salaries of Parliament Members.
Speaking at a press conference held by the PNC's PG Group at the Parliament on Tuesday, PG leader and Inguraidhoo MP Ibrahim Falah said that all bills for the benefit of the people will be passed in the Parliament.
Answering a question by the press whether MP's salaries will be increased, he said the party has no plans to do such.
"We are not planning to increase the salary of Parliament Members," Falah said.
Falah said he would respect the minority despite having a large super majority in parliament and would move forward accordingly.
MP's get a salary and allowance equalling to MVR 80,000 as per Parliament regulations.
