President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that Israeli leaders must be brought to justice for their actions against the Palestinian people.

The President made the statement on behalf of the Maldives during his speech at the opening ceremony of the 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States. He highlighted that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has ordered the immediate halt of Israeli military operations in Rafah.

"All the leaders involved in SIDS should also advocate for an end to the Israeli attacks and atrocities. It is time to bring Israeli leader to justice. It is high time their crimes were punished," President Dr. Muizzu said.

He said that Palestinians are isolated and helpless and that the Maldives is well aware of how they must be feeling.

"It is time for the SIDS to work for the Palestinian cause," President Dr. Muizzu said.
