A foreigner, on Wednesday, attacked a local man with a sharp object in Hulhumale', Police have revealed.

According to police, the victim is being treated at Hulhumale' Hospital after receiving a report that he was attacked on Lansimoo Magu this evening.

According to hospital sources, the victim sustained wounds to his hand but did not suffer any serious injuries.

The foreigner has been arrested and further investigation is underway.
