Aisha Nurain Janah, the Chairperson of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMRPC), has resigned.

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) recently posted on X that they have accepted the resignation pf MMPRC Chairperson Nurain, following her letter to the board yesterday.

She resigned yesterday, though the reason for her resignation remains uncertain.

Nurain is the daughter of businessman Mohammed Ali Janah, who has been appointed as the Principal Advisor on Trade and Investment to President Mohammed Muizzu. Nurain was appointed as the MMPRC Chairperson on December 27, 2023.

Nurain is a chartered accountant. She has held a number of accounting positions in New Zealand before.
