With 95,000 arrivals from China so far this year, the total number of tourist arrivals in the Maldives has crossed 850,000.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, a total of 850,971 tourists arrived in the Maldives as of Yesterday, an increase of 11.2% from 765,134 last year.
China is currently the number one tourism market in the country with 95,263 arrivals as of Sunday.

- UK - 80,962 tourists
- Italy - 73,709 tourists
- Germany - 67,766 tourists
- India - 48,940 tourists
- France - 31,677 tourists
- USA - 29,815 tourists
- Switzerland - 21,125 tourists
- Poland - 17,035 tourists
Currently, an average of 6,078 tourists visit the Maldives every day, with an average stay in the Maldives for 7.8 days.
The government aims to attract two million tourists to the Maldives this year.
