Addu City Meedhoo MP Rozaina Adam has stated that she has no intentions of running for the parliament in the future.

Speaking during the final sitting of the 19th Session of Parliament on Monday, Rozaina noted that she has served 15 years in three terms of the Parliament, thanking the constituents of Thulusdhoo and Addu Meedhoo, which she has represented.

"I have a heart to believe that I have faithfully done the job they entrusted me with for 15 years, and I am leaving here with great satisfaction,” she said.

In addition to the Parliament, she also served as the Chairperson of the Independent Institutions Committee of the 19th Parliament.

Rozaina said she was very satisfied with the work of Parliament, such as the Prevention of Domestic Violence Bill, Prevention of Sexual Harassment Bill, Child Rights Act, extending the service of civil service employees up to 60 years and increasing child support.
