Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer has met with Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

Minister Zameer arrived in Qatar on Sunday on an official visit.

During his meeting with the Prime Minister of Qatar, Minister Zameer discussed ways to further strengthen the maldives-Qatari relations. Zamir thanked Qatar for its support to the Maldives' economy.

The two Ministers also discussed ways to resolve the issue through dialogue in forums on issues of global concern, Maldivian Foreign Ministry said.

Minister Zameer also extended appreciation on behalf of Maldives towards Qatar's continued support to Gaza in response to Israel's attacks in Gaza, the Ministry said.
