Bank of Maldives (BML) on Sunday extended its partnership with the Maldives Surfing Association (MSA) as the official sponsor for the national surfing teams including both senior and junior teams.
As part of this partnership BML will also support the annual National Junior Surfing Championship to promote the development of young talent in the sport.
“Surfing is becoming a very popular sport in the Maldives, attracting both local and international enthusiasts. The athletes have a lot of potential to excel in regional and global competitions, as they have demonstrated in the past,” BML's CEO and Managing Director Karl Stumke said.
Speaking on the partnership, MSA's President, Mohamed Sobah said, the association is delighted and honored to continue their partnership with BML Islamic.
"I appreciate the Bank for their ongoing support to our national teams and their passion to develop sports and our young athletes," Sobah said.
Bank of Maldives remains committed to playing an important part in developing sporting talent in the country through youth development programs and partnerships with national associations. The Bank also partnered with Maldives Olympic Committee to offer Sports Scholarship to help top athletes excel at the national and international level.
