The "Ufaa Festival" to celebrate the settlement of people in Hulhumale and Children's Day has started.
The Ufaa Festival, organized by the Ministry of Social and Family Development, Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and Ooredoo, was inaugurated yesterday evening.
The festival was inaugurated by HDC Managing Director Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed and Social and Family Development Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham. Ooredoo Maldives Chief Commercial Officer Hussain Niyaz also attended the opening ceremony.
The festival started with a cake-cutting activity and is expected to continue through today. The festival includes children's sports stalls, food stalls, and stage shows.
Besides the bouncing castle and various mascots, there will be a chance to ride the MNDF fire truck, MTCC bus and MPL reach stacker.

Activities scheduled for today:
- Water sports at 4:00 p.m
- Movie night at 8:00 p.m
- Fireworks at 9:45 p.m
International Children’s Day is celebrated on May 10th. Children's Day was first celebrated in 1954.
