Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer met and held talks with India's External Affair Minister Dr. Subramanyam Jaishankar on Thursday.

In a post on X after the meeting held as part of his ongoing visit to India, Minister Zameer said that during the meeting, the two countries discussed areas of cooperation and areas where India and Maldives can work together in the international arena as well.

During the meeting, Jaishankar conveyed India's desire to continue to engage with the Maldives in the future.

This is Minister Zameer's first visit to India as Foreign Minister.
